Honey Popcorn Balls

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

I used to make these fun treats with my mom when I was a child and they are a great project for Halloween. The best thing is that they are more fun to eat and much healthier than all that candy your children will be getting this Halloween.

Ingredients you will need:
0.5 Cup Honey
0.25 Cup Sugar
1 Tablespoon Butter
0.5 Teaspoon Cinnamon
5 Cups Popped Popcorn
Directions:
1. Stirring constantly heat honey, sugar and butter in a pan to 275 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Pour mixture over popcorn and stir with a wooden spoon until the mixture is thoroughly coated.
3. Let cool until the mixture can be handled.
4. Butter your hands and form mixture into balls.
5. You can decorate the popcorn balls with raisins, nuts, or anything else you desire.  It is fun to make spooky faces and other Halloween themed designs.
